This meme comes from Anniina. The list below was compiled by the American Library Association. These books were banned in schools/churches/libraries in America in the XXth century. The thing is that you bold the ones you've read in its entirety and italicize those that you've read some part of. As you can see my knowledge is biased. I admit not knowing many of the authors named above. Most of the titles I marked are European ones.

I missed Oscar Wilde badly from the list, I just can't believe he did not made it with The Picture of Dorian Gray or Salome, or just about any of his pieces. I also feel that William Wharton's Birdy has also been omitted. And also, where's Albert Camus with his short novel called The Stranger. I might as well name others that I think are missing from this list, but wait, I can't name those that I have NOT read, see?
