
Date: 2006 May 28 Location: Szt György hegy, on the northern side of Lake Balaton. These are holdover basalt poles, residues of a former volcano. Hills around here are all former volcanos, in various stages of erosion. Water, wind and elements erode lava rock and this results in these nice formations.

There are earthquakes, but they are extremely rare and very weak.
