railway...tracks...engines...

Date: May 23rd, 2004.
Location: Budapest, "Keleti" Railway station.
Two powerful electric engines. The railway company uses these for pulling intercities or large, cross-country trains (please note the size of our country, so don't expect some extra heavy-duty engines :)
The one on the left is a Siemens. The one on the right is made in Hungary. Highest speed: 120 km/h. Capacity: 3600 kW. Weight: 116 tonnes. Lentgh: 19,6 m. Each engine of this type is named after a famous Hungarian man, like a great poet or a politician. This one is called ... (=I have no idea).

I think a yellow train is cool. It has diffrent face from Japanese train.
