yet, why do i have this little feeling creeping at the back of my mind that revision will take longer time and will be more difficult than the writing itself?

while writing, i soothed my nerves with sayings like: 'just go ahead', and 'it's good to have a good basis so you have at least something to revise', but now, after a week's rest i think i have to return and revise.

congratulations! The writing is a huge accomplishment. I agree about the revision. It will probably take longer and be more grueling than the actual creation; however, what fun it can be to be thoughtful about your language. This is my favorite part of the writing process. (Of course, I'm revising ten line poems, not novels!)
