off goes 4

if you think the title of this post has no meaning then go ask me what the meaning of falling off balance to loose 4 teeth at once was.
for they once were.
in my upper jaw.
off they jumped.
or rather, broke.
and i am broken now.
for most of the part, financially.
or will be when the dentist bills me for the implants.
my smile: past tense
i can not eat properly.
i can not speak properly. i miss/mispronounce 'z', 's', 'f' - to name a few.
but for most of all, i can not attend the choir.
well, friendship is one thing, but no one really wants to see a freak opening a mouth that has a huge hiatus in it, does anyone?
so, that is the news.
-
in other words, i'm looking for new jobs like crazy.
those dental replacements will cost a fortune, insurance will pay only a tiny amount of the bill.
but the math goes like this: i am 40 and i am expected to live for at least another 40.
and on the other side of the equilibrum i see a long line of simple dishes, and renovations that go even slower in the foreseeable future.
we needed a new set of tiles in the bathroom for example.
allright, the dentist will fix it into my upper jaw.
we needed a garden path (now we have only dirt road from the gate to the front door).
allright, the dentist will fix it into my upper jaw.
i think you get the idea ;)
-
the photos will be up some time later on.
-
cheers,

Oh, how awful, SzelsoFa! I am so sorry! I can imagine how you must feel about all of this, not to mention the financial strain and worry. I'm hoping for the best for you.

Oh no SzelsoFa. So sorry for that. I can't imagine how painful it must be.

I just wanted to say thank you for all of the comments you left on my blog. Means a lot to me :)

SzélsőFa, oh, I'm so sorry! This is terrible... But just think that it could've been worse, that you could have hit your head instead...
All the best to you, my friend.

Karen, Paul, Juliet, Vesper thank you all for your words of sympathy.
as by now, most of the swelling of my nose/face/eye has gone, i only feel a strange tension between my upper lips and nose; and also within the front part of the upper jawline. just exactly where my head was hit.
and yes, it could have been much worse, it could have been my eyesight gone for good...
thanks again for your kind wishes.

Oh dear, serious events going on at a moment you didn't need them. I'm sad for you and know you'll be having a difficult time for a while, but also know that this will only be temporary. Life always has a way of stabilising after major things happen, thank heavens...

What caused you to fall off-balance, were you tired or rushed?

Keep well...

;)
thanks for your kind thoughts, Bart.
as for the cause...
i keep rushing all the time in the house yes, partly that and partly that it was late in the evening and tired, and after having watched a good movie we had some funny family wrestling, and i think that's when i lost my balance. I got up and walked quite normally, but when i tried to leave the well-lit room and headed for the kitchen...i had to put my slippers on... and the next thing i remember is that i'm falling.
there is a closet right next to the room (on the way to the kitchen) and it had a small piece of log to step on to reach the higher shelves.
i fell into that particular log, just as if you would hit it with an axe.
my front teeth actually left marks upon the surface. there are 4-5 small indents alongside each other, each with a depth of 3-4 millimetres.
