The traumatic memory has been fragmented. I think it would feel like that. Certain things seared into your memory. High points in the trauma.

i suppose you think part two is a monologue of the woman in orange (the one who lost her child in an accident)
i see now how the words can be interpreted this way.
in the fear of giving away too much i gave too less :s
as my intention was to give a short summary, a collection of words that flash into the eyes of the main character (the one who drives the car and meets the woamn in orange) when she browses the internet for any event on road 44.
i wanted to express that the mc finds relevant information about the accident the woman in orange was talking about.
it seems that i didn't manage to write it clearly.
but i'm kind of surprised (in a positive way) that there are so many readings possible.
