a successful fit

yeah, the title is grammatically correct.
-
this afternoon i had a really fast heart rate.
it is not unusual for me.
when at times i get lazy and exercise less i have this tendency to have a mild case of tachycardia.
tachycardia is one reason i exercise as much as i can.
but today i had my regular 40 minutes before lunch and dang, at 3 pm it just started.
-
it beats so fast that it takes my normal way of thinking away: i get weak and dizzy.
-
today i tried all the tricks that work: laying down, sitting, taking my attention (reading), i even felt asleep - but this time nothing worked and i got so very angry that i started throwing a fit.
i jumped and ran across the rooms as fast as i could and was crying quite like an idiot.
voila.
the heart rate went down to normal.
i think the trick was that my body was lured into thinking that the fast rate was due to the running and jumping and when i stopped these actitivies, the heart rate also dropped back to normal.
-
any similar experiences?

My heart used to race on me quite a bit a few years ago, when my kids were really little and I was getting no sleep at night. It seems to have calmed down since then for whatever reason.

What you describe must have been really scary.

thanks for your fords of comfort.
it seems to me that your fast heart bpm was due to anxiety, or sleep deprivation (neither the cause nor the result is pleasant).
i'm glad you are ok :)

it was scary and the scariest of all was that i seemed to have no grip over the situation - until i threw that fit, that is :) :) :)

thanks for dropping by!

So scary!
I've read somewhere that when you feel a heart problem, maybe like this, it helps to cough as hard as you can. I suppose the heart gets massaged by the muscles contracting in the coughing and that helps...

Anyway, take care of yourself.

thank you Vesper, i will try next time.

in the meanwhile, i consulted some natural therapists and they suggested this might be a result of a panic situation, anxiety.
i am in the middle of a dental process (i need a new bridge) and i worry about my dental health.

so the first step should be eliminating all unnecessary worries.
not that is easy .(
